John Chladek
Objectivity of Expression
John Chladek was born on a hot day in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, August 31st, 1932, the day of a Solar eclipse. The oldest of 4 boys, he had Artist skills at a very early age. John’s true love was Art and he spent all of his time devoted to either Drawing or thinking about Drawing. During his youth, His brothers called him “The Dreamer”.
In the 1950’s he studied a wide-range of Art courses in Style, Media, Color, & Image Techniques at the Layton School of Art, the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee & Madison, the Madison Area Technical College, & The Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles, California.
He credits being influenced by Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Gauguin, Cézanne, Kandinsky and Leonardo Da Vinci.
John was a Army Veteran, in 1960’s, he moved from Madison to Fort Lewis, Washington for Active Duty with the Red Arrow Division of the Wisconsin Army National Guard. While on active duty, John was sent to West Point, New York where he did illustrations for the Army Times Magazine and continued his Free-lance painting.
After honorable military service, he returned to Madison, took courses in Merchandise Illustration and Advertising Design, and began his 25+ year career as a Commercial Artist for various government agencies and the Wisconsin State Historical Society.
He was a Prolific Painter. In the 1970’s, 1980's & 1990's John exhibited his Extensive Art Collection at Local Businesses, Community Art Fairs, & Art Galleries in Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago & New York.
John preferred to paint Abstract canvases because they were more challenging to what he termed his own personal “Objectivity of Expression”.
John’s Landscapes continue to be the most commercially successful. We noticed that 2 canvasses that John sold to Michael Ingbar Gallery in New York a few years ago were recently listed & re-sold on Amazon.com under Collectibles & Fine Art for $$,$$$.
Chladek’s actively promote The Original Master Works of John Chladek. Over 25 Originals SOLD at McCall Studio Gallery in Manassas, Virginia. During the difficult years of 2020, 2021, 2022.

With extensive investigation we present 588 images that remain of the 833 known works of art created by John during his lifetime. John Chladek painted every day until a final hot day in Madison, Wisconsin August 10th, 2015. At 83 he left the collection to the family.
